ICEGATE partnership registration must be done on the official ICEGATE website. This registration enables the electronic filing of documents, which is different from the Simplified Auto Registration. To register under the ICEGATE Partnership program, click the "sign up" link on the ICEGATE portal. Once you sign up, you will be guided through the process to complete your ICEGATE partnership registration.
ICEGATE Simplified Registration The Simplified Auto Registration on ICEGATE aims to attract importers and exporters by providing access to various information services, including reports. Currently, IEC (Import Export Code) registration on the ICEGATE portal requires a Digital Signature and approval. Registered IEC holders can submit documents through ICEGATE. This Simplified Auto Registration utilizes IEC and GSTIN, with OTP verification needed for email and mobile numbers. This streamlined process does not require users to upload a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), verify their Permanent Account Number (PAN), or submit additional documents. Note: IEC holders registered under Simplified Auto Registration cannot submit customs paperwork.

ICEGATE registration guidelines
IEC Holders Registration: IEC holders intending to file documents via ICEGATE using RES are strongly encouraged to register in the new Registration Module as soon as possible.
Use of DSC Tokens: Before beginning the registration process, all users should ensure that their Class III DSC tokens are connected to their systems. Uploading the DSC is mandatory during the registration.
PAN Verification: The applicant's PAN details will be verified against the Income Tax Department’s database during the registration process. Applicants must also upload a copy of their PAN. It’s essential that the name used for ICEGATE registration matches the name on the PAN card.
G-Card Holders: Only G-Card holders are eligible to register as CHA employees, as they have the authority to digitally sign documents using a DSC. H-Card holders cannot sign documents.
Parent and Child Users: An entity can have only one parent user registered on ICEGATE, while additional users will be registered as child users.
ICES Registration Number:The ICES registration number provided during registration is used to retrieve information from ICES directories and will be displayed for verification. Data collection will commence once the applicant verifies their information.
Disabling IEC-Authorized Persons: If an IEC-authorized person is no longer employed, the IEC holder has the right to disable their access. IEC holders are advised to disable the access of the IEC-authorized person in the ICEGATE Registration Module when necessary.
